Teaching

Teaching

Kingsbury Market Garden works with local elementary schools to bring children on-site to learn more about growing produce—and the farm to table movement in our state. We participate in the local lunch programs to provide fresh and nutritious produce to our school kitchens.

Hard Work

Hard Work

The devoted and hard workers on the farm provide the energy that allows us to provide not only to the Foodbank, but also to our local stores, schools, friends and neighbors.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes

Our 2012 tomato crop was amazing. In 2013, we exchanged with other farmers in order to provide our CSA members with a variety of heirloom species. In 2014, we will continue to grow on the farm—while also working with other farms in order to provide a stellar variety to our CSA members and outlets.

Potato Variety

Every year, we successfully grow a variety of potato. The soil down by the river is the perfect "house" for fingerlings, purple and red. Any and all varieties seem to thrive here.

Flowers & Squash

Flowers & Squash

The greenhouse is home to many flowers as well. We offer cut flowers and flower arrangements to our CSA members—and sometimes provide our outlets with a bucket or two as well.

Harvest

Harvest

The bounty at Stowell Farm (Waitsfield) included beets, squash and onions. We'll rotate next year and continue—with a possible mind toward strawberries and horseradish in 2015.

Onions

Onions

We grew two varieties of onion on the property on East Warren Road: XX and XX. We shipped XX to the Foodbank and sold the rest to local stores and markets. CSA members benefited as well.
